Marketing Manager

If you will scroll right down & look to your left (Will someone please HELP me with this damn html thinggy! The more posts I add, the further down my profiles go...... *shakes head dejectedly*), you'll see that I've changed my occupation from that of a nursing manager to that of a marketing manager.
That's right, I have officially started work today. I am now a marketing manager with an MNC healthcare group that owns most of the private hospitals in Singapore. And I've been put in charge of the entire hospital (the most established one in Singapore)!!!
Once again my lucky star is shining brightly. All I have is my nursing background & out of the blue, I have been entrusted a management position in marketing.
I've been in nursing uniforms most of my working life & my wardrobe consists of mostly T-shirts, shorts & flip flops. Therefore it's really weird for me having to dress up to the nines to go to work. I felt like I've gone back in time & I am like playing dressed up with my mum's clothes. It's just so unnatural! I mean I haven't even worn heels for the last 5 years for christ sake! (so you can imagine the pathetic state of my feet now?! *ouch*)
Well the glamour of the title aside, I've got a really tall hat to fill. It's going take tremendous hard work on my side to try & get a hang of these marketing stuffs.

So wish me luck beacuse I know I am going to need every ounce of it! ;)

Megan's birthday celebration in school

As you would have read in my previous post, we had to postpone Megan's birthday celebration in school till Monday. In preparation for her celebration, I had to pack bags & bags of goodies bags for her classmates. Then the night before, the maid & I spent hours blowing up balloons to distribute to them as well. (erm.... maybe let me rephrase that, what I meant to say is that the maid packed bags & bags and spent hours & hours) *Sheepish smile*

The birthday girl was allowed to wear mufti and Megan was happily dressed in a long pink dress. She loves princesses, so of course her lifelong aspiration is to be one and dress like one. She was really proud of herself the entire day, looking like a princess and doling out presents to her classmates. Hahaha.... but of course she will always be a true blue royal princess in my eyes.

In her long pink princess dress.

A princess cake (Belle).

Looking really pleased with herself.

Singing the birthday song.

Happy birthday princess! *Muacks*

The little boy (front right) is Daniel, Megan's favourite boy. Oooooohhh......

A little bit of royal cream on the royal lips...

Megan's birthday & concert

I'm extremely late for this post but I just gotta post these photos. So just let me very briefly summarise the day's events for you.
Megan's birthday falls on a Saturday so we weren't able to celebrate it in school. But we did have to go to school though because her nursery is holding an annual concert whereby she gets to perform. I had a really fun time putting on the make-up for her (I don't think she's as thrilled at the aspect as I am though). I had the full works on for her; eye shadow, mascara, lipstick & all the glittery stuff on her face. It's just too bad the photos can't show up the make-up I had in her. If I must say so myself, I think I did an awfully good job.
The concert was really chaotic though. You will never guess who's the unruly bunch....... the parents! All of us was scrambling on top of each other trying to get a better pic of our precious tots. I had to climb & stand on the chair in order to catch a glimpse of Meg. (Oh yes, I was one of the unruly bunch too.) Can you imagine the sight? All this happened in spite of the principle's foresight to instruct all parents to behave. Geez....... The children were way better behaved than us. But parents aside, Megan did very well during the concert & I'm so terribly proud of her!
We celebrated Meg's birthday at night in my parent's house. No frills, just a simple cosy celebration.
On the way to the school for her first public appearance.

Alright the banner speaks for itself.
Can hardly see the make-up on her face.

Meg's birthday cake.

My sweetie pie.
Happy birthday sweetie!

Taking a deep breath........

Grandma looking on in amusement in the background.

Cautiously cutting the cake.
An ang pow for her precious great granddaughter.
