BFF parTy on!!!

It was ages ago since the bunch of us girls last partied together. And we didn't get to gather too often either. We really miss each other. We have this incredible bond and I think we are very lucky to have each other throughout these years. Our friendship had definitely stood the test of time and going on stronger than ever before.

So on the pretext of celebrating Marilyn's birthday, the four of us decided to meet up and party the night away, enjoying each others' company just like before. But of course, Devil's Bar is no longer around and so we made do with Lunar. I find that Lunar plays the most similar music to Devil's and so I had been bugging Mar and Kelly to try out that place.

But the night didn't quite end the way I expected. A totally uncalled for incident happened just when we were leaving and it soured the atmosphere. Just as a waitress was walking behind me, I took a step back and she lost balance of her drinks. (But of course I didn't know there was someone walking so close to me since it was already close to 5am and the club is empty.) She spilled them all over my back and the girls hurried over to wipe my back dry. That's when they noticed the waitress glaring at me. We were fairly peeved that she did that since we were the customers but let it go since we understood it's all an accident. But after a while she actually walked to me and haughtily told me in Mandarin that I had spoiled her watch when the drinks spilled. It was so incredulous that I could hardly believe my ears! What nerve! I nearly flew off the handle with the accusation. She's lucky that my mandarin fails me everytime I get worked up. The girls noticed from the side that I was in a rage and rushed over to defend me. Likewise, they were appalled when they learned what happened. They took over and I was more than happy to let them fight my battle in Mandarin. Honestly, she's picked on the wrong group to mess around with. And in Meg's words - 'too bad, so sad'. She has to answer to the management now.
P.S. Btw I lost my handphone AGAIN in a cab on my way to Lunar. The girls so totally couldn't stand me anymore and had been cracking their heads for ideas to tie the phone to me -_-""

As usual Ju is late. I had to pixelate that pic of Mar's colleague cos her hubby didn't know she's out clubbing :p
They forced me to hook my wristlet to my jeans for the rest of the night :p
Beautiful bride-to-be & birthday girl
Cutie Kelly
Trying to take a self pic but Mar kept trying to foil it! (Hee~ had to pixelate her face cos she'll kill me if it's shown to public & she's definitely the last person in the world that I would want to trifle with :p)
They never lets me off! See those fingers? Kelly's!
The most veteran self-pic queen is finally here!
BFF! *muacks*
Those 2 up to their usual antics & wouldn't allow Ju & me to take photos in peace
Arghhh ...... I look horrid here! And you know why I was so giggly? Mar was threatening to ruin the photo again that's why!
I bought this gorgeous pair of heels in Japan. I know it's super unglam but I had to remove them halfway while dancing cos I'm so not used to heels.
Those guys were hitting on us since we walked in. But guess they were too dense to realise that we weren't interested. We allowed this pic cos the girls wanted me to blog their faces, especially the one right behind Mar who kept boasting that he's a regular there, he knows the boss, he can get the singer to drink with us & Irene Ang is his aunt! -_-"" Right ...... as if we would be hung up on him just cos of that.
Lovely Cheryl joined us for a while
And I looove this pic with Andrew! Hee~ Dumbfuck :p

Mother's day & Erycka's birthday

Mother's day? I know this way backdated but well ...... you know the rest of the story :p

Erycka and I decided to do things a little differently for mother's day this year. Instead of the usual dinner, we decided to bring her for a movie in GV Gold Class. All of us haven't been to the Gold Class cinema before. And it was such a treat! Hee~ I totally looove it! It was sheer luxury lying down on that comfortable chair drinking hot cocoa and enjoying the movie at the same time. But the depressing thing is that regular cinema is not good enough anymore. And nobody in his right mind goes to GV Gold all the time of course. So now I am looking for a good movie and occasion to justify going to GV Gold again :p And before it completely slip my mind, we watched Nim's Island. It's a pretty good movie and its brought me back to my teenager days where I still read fantasy books.

Walking around Vivo City after the show
Then we decided on dinner in Marche cos mum hasn't tried it before
I love these 2 cute faces!
My sweetheart
This little imp loves posing for the camera now
Wahaha! You can't see it but Meg's ice-cream is blocked. This pic is suppose to represent Meg enjoying her ice-cream while Ken is mad that he had none. No one told her how to pose. She's just a natural! Perfect chemistry with Ken :)
Meg loves her grandma
I love you mum!
My wonderful family
I got a surprise cake for Erycka. She had no idea I was going to celebrate her birthday at the same time.
Gorgeous! Gorgeous!
I love my sis!
Meg had initially wanted to take a pic with these cows but beat a hasty retreat when she saw their big eyes up close.
But eventually, we did manage to coax her to sit on it.
I saw this tube dress while walking in Vivo. When I walked up close to it, I was initially disappointed cos it indicated that it's a flowy skirt instead. The 1st thought that came to mind was that it's way too long for me. However the sales person said that it can be used as a tube dress too & so I started considering if I should get it. I asked Meg for her opinion (she still thinks that it's a skirt not a tube dress). And she said "I think you're too short for it." -_-""
Later that week, had a gathering with Erycka and my cousin, Ling. A gathering cos Erycka will be going to UK to work soon and Ling to start her own business in Bangkok.
My attempt at being artistic :pThe 3 of us are super cam whores but yet this was the only pic taken that night! The sky must be falling!?
On the actual day of Erycka's birthday (May 10), we decided to have Teppanyaki at home.
Megan the 'poser'
Meg is in charge of setting up the cake
Don't know why but I can't turn this cake around so this will have to do :p
Meg's favourite - funny faces!
My supportive family
Happy birthday dear sister. I know I am going to miss you so so much when you move to London. Remember that I love you, ok? sob~

Shirakawa-go (Day 3)

This is definitely the post with the most Japans' photos. The places that I visited on day 3 was simply out of this world! The sights were so breath-taking that it looks exactly like it's taken right out from a scenic poster. I was completely in awe with Mother Nature.

Checked out from hotel early in the morning & setting off. (Needless to say I missed breakfast again :p)
Taking in the sights along the bus routeHappy that we've reached destination
I dunno why I'm in that squatting position :p It's a cold cold day!Shirakawa-go is a small village with a population of only 1900 people. It's Gassho style settlement (joined-hands farmhouses) has been registered as a 'world culture heritage'.
I looove the thick blanket of snow everywhere!
Hee~ caught me falling down :p
A Gassho styled private house is roofed with thatch. The re-roofing is done in group work by local people. The thatched roofs took hundreds of people to construct and this is one of the only place in Japan (& the world) to have this type of structure.
A really ugly snowman
Snowball fight
Kok Ying's imprint
Are there any other words that can substitute breath-taking? I think I've overused it already :p
A frozen stream
Crossing the bridge to get to the other side of the village that's inhabited , for shopping & lunch
Settling down to lunch in a traditional restaurant in the village
The rest had beef
While I had this
Erm..... I think it's 1 mushroom & 1 slice of carrot. In the end, I was so unfulfilled that I went to the shop & bought a whole box of souvenir biscuits & ate them for lunch instead.
Went up to Shirakawa-go Shiroyama Observatory so that we can have a bird's eye view of the village
Yeah...... reached our hotel for the night - Hotel Gujo Hachiman
Meat!!!
This is also a traditional onsen hotel. I have learnt that onsen hotels are really expensive.
The tour guide brought us to watch a local dance/ song performance in the hotel. Apparently a renowned actor (poster below) is performing for the night. 'She' is a man by the way.
The locals will come to the hotel to watch the performance as well

After the performance, the tour guide brought us to learn a traditional Japanese dance but we were much more interested in onsen instead.
Onsen here we come! I love this onsen here because it really huge & there's 1 outdoor where you can soak in the hot spring & enjoy the view below. You can even see the trains go past. It's really an amazing feeling to soak in the near-scalding water & yet the air around you is freezing cold. It was snowing after I completed the bath. Which is such a pity cos if not I would be soaking in the hot spring with snow swirling around me.
Snuggling nice & warm in the futon while wearing my favourite jammies
